(Wilmington, DE) - March of Dimes presented
the first annual Building the Community Award to Nason
Construction, Inc. on Tuesday morning at the Deerfield Golf &
Tennis Club in Newark, Delaware. It was fitting for March of
Dimes, an organization that seeks to reduce Delaware’s
increasing premature birth rate, to present this award on
November 14 – National Pre-maturity Awareness Day.
The
Building the Community Awards Breakfast honors individuals or
companies whose support and commitment have helped to make local
communities thrive and grow.
Dr. David P. Roselle, President of The University of Delaware,
was the keynote speaker and
Dave
Hollowell,
University of Delaware presented the award to Nason
Construction.
Nason
has been recognized throughout Delaware and nationally for their
commitment to excellence in construction. Equally as impressive
is the firm’s continued support of numerous charitable
organizations. “We are extremely pleased to recognize Nason
Construction with this award,” said Leslie Kosek, State Director
of the Delaware Chapter of the March of Dimes. “The
contributions they have made to our community and continued
involvement and interest in Delaware make them a worthy
recipient.”
A tremendous team effort from the 2006 Building the Community
Awards Committee, along with the March of Dimes and Nason
Construction staff have helped the March of Dimes exceed the
event goal and raise
$37, 220
towards pre-maturity prevention.
