Wilmington, DEApril 3, 2002 - Nason Construction, Inc., a construction management firm established in 1922, has started construction on Nanticoke Memorial Hospital’s new Oncology Center in Seaford, DE, which will accommodate physicians’ offices, cancer treatment areas and a linear accelerator within the 30,000-square-foot facility. The project, which broke ground in December 2001, will be complete by April 2003.

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Nanticoke Memorial Hospital,” stated Michael B. Berardi, President and Principal, “and honored to have been selected as the Construction Manager for the Oncology Center project.”

The two-story, steel-framed and brick veneer facility will feature a glass curtain wall entrance, high-end finishes in the physician offices and a curved architectural design which will afford spectacular views of the Nanticoke River. A post-tension parking garage will also be erected on the adjacent site. The project architect is the SmithGroup of Washington, DC, and the civil engineer is Becker Morgan Group, Inc. of Dover, DE.
