Description

In response to a 50 percent increase in the number of brain injuries over the past few years, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital hired Nason Construction to complete this $2.9 million phased renovation and expansion of their brain injury unit. Renovations took place on the 2nd floor of an occupied three-story hospital with associated work on floors one and two.

The hospital is one of the only institutions in the country to specialize in traumatic brain injury treatment. The new space expanded the number of beds in the unit from 29 to 41 and included the addition of a gym on the second floor, an intensive monitoring suite for patients with a higher level of acuity to experience visual stimulation, and an expanded family lounge.
